Tamex is an Australian transport and logistics company providing freight and distribution services across multiple routes and customers. Before Working with Climate Zero

Tamex had already taken meaningful steps to track and understand its emissions before working with Climate Zero. The team had been collecting operational and fuel-related data, and was actively engaged in understanding their emissions profile with a clear intention to reduce emissions and uncover efficiency opportunities across the business.

However, this work was being managed through manual and decentralised processes. While the data provided some insights, it was time-consuming to maintain, difficult to interrogate consistently, and challenging to audit or scale as the business and reporting expectations evolved.

Implementing Climate Zero at Tamex focused on establishing clean, reliable processes for ongoing data capture within the carbon accounting platform.

Our work together has been strengthened by interest and involvement from the Tamex team, led by Systems & Process Manager Karen. Rather than passively entering data, the team has actively interrogated it; questioning assumptions, validating outputs and seeking to understand what the data reveals about business performance and operational efficiency.

This approach has led to regular, thoughtful engagement with the Climate Zero team, resulting in robust conversations that go well beyond emissions totals alone.

After Working with Climate Zero

With Climate Zero in place, Tamex now has a single, auditable source of truth for ongoing emissions tracking.

More importantly, emissions data is being used as a decision-support tool, enabling:
