Lessons from the First Year of Mandatory Climate Reporting

At the time of this webinar (hosted by Redwolf & Rosch), it had been 10 months since Mandatory Climate Reporting came into effect under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS). Group 1 companies had begun reporting, Group 2 were starting their “dry runs,” and suppliers across industries were beginning to feel the impact.

As sustainability experts, the teams at Climate Zero and Rewild know this isn’t the easiest topic to understand. For many businesses, the questions are now less about “what’s coming?” and more about “how do we do this well?” – so we invited the best experts we know to answer these questions and help guide you with your Mandatory Climate Reporting.

What the webinar covers

  • A quick recap of the legislation, who it applies to, and implications for suppliers.
  • What we’ve learned from Group 1 reporters so far and how Group 2 organisations are approaching their first dry runs.
  • Why governance matters and what auditors will be looking at.
  • Resourcing and budget considerations, and the value of tools + advisory support.
  • Practical insights from an existing customer of Climate Zero & Rewild.
  • Please bring along your questions for our experts to answer in the Q&A session at the end.

Speakers

Abbie Freestone - Director Climate & ESG at Rewild, and Tai Lennon - Managing Director at Climate Zero share their insights and their experiences from working with clients navigating the new reporting requirements. They are also be joined by Stacey Hadley – Sustainability Project Manager at Australian Homeware Enterprises (AHE).
